I provide a solo saxophone service during wedding receptions, meals and as quiet evening entertainment. I have a great deal of experience in this and can tailor the music and the set-up to your particular needs.
I carry full public liability insurance and all of my equipment is fully portable appliance tested so you can rest assured that all of the technical details are already taken care of. I work to a Musicians’ Union Contract to protect both parties and to ensure that your day goes without a hitch. I perform as background music, and thus you do not have to worry about the act being too loud; it’s what I do!

James has played at a variety of venues across the Durham, Teesside and North Yorkshire area.
In the past year, he has seen his list of functions expand to include those at Seaham, Shotton and Bedale Halls and he has also played at hotels across the area from Northallerton to Barnard Castle and Durham City to Seaton Carew. His list of Durham Colleges has increased to include most of the 16 comprising the university, with events ranging from formals to cocktail receptions and from black-tie balls to launch nights. He completed last summer by playing at Durham Union Society’s exclusive garden party at their Bailey headquarters.
James’ event organisation credits involve sound design and event management work in Durham with ’big name’ acts such as Captain, 911, Frank Turner and Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills. His diverse client list as a musician has included engagements for TFM and Magic Radio, the Mayor of Peterlee, the Open University, the University of Teikyo, Newcastle University, Durham Union Society and numerous private weddings and receptions.
